Smacky's Guide To Communication, Section 5: Speaking privately to individual players currently online -- telling and replying

On this page

Introduction

[Telling and replying]

There are obviously two ways to speak privately to individual players currently online:

In either case, the message appears in the upper window in white text. A message which someone else has told/replied you also appears in the upper window but in light blue text.

[NOTE] In an effort to combat abusive/spam messages being sent, only players of level two or higher can tell/reply.

On this page

Telling

Use the game command"/tell <player> <message>".

On this page

Replying

Use the game command"/reply <message>". This is used to reply to the last player who told you something.

[ADVICE] If you receive the message 'Litillitttil tells you: Do you like my name?' it is obviously easier just to "/reply No" than to muddle through his name in an effort to "/tell Litillitttil No".

[ADVICE] It is easy to send your message to the wrong person with reply. For instance, if Bert tells you something while you are typing a reply to Abigail your reply will go to Bert. Therefore it is advisable not to use "/reply" for sensitive messages.
